Recycling
Q: How can Fayetteville residents recycle? How about other Cumberland County residents (outside of Fayetteville, i.e. Hope Mills and Spring Lake).
A: Fayetteville residents can recycle by using the blue bins that were given to you (for recycling use only). Other counties can recycle and take it to the local recycling bin.
Q: Where is the closest recycling drop-off center to your house? (or our school)
A: The closest recycling drop-off center is Ann St. Landfill.
Q: Give 2 reasons why it makes sense to recycle.
A: Because it will not polute the Earth. Also because the recycled stuff is used to make other things we use in the future.
Q: Most people agree that recycling is a good thing. List 9 things that recycled plastic can be made into.
A: Recycled plastics can be made into bottles, shower stalls, recycling bins, scouring pads, paint brushes, industrial strapping, drainpipes, plastic lumber, and flower pots.
Q: What is the benefit of recycling glass?
A: Every ton of glass recycled saves the equivalent of 9 gallons of fuel oil needed to make glass from virgin materials.
Q: List 5 things that recycled metal can be turned into once it has been melted down.
A: It can be made into cans, automobile parts, siding, appliances and building materials.

Q: Which five 2009-model cars get the best overall MPG?
A: Toyota Prius
Honda Civic
Honda Insight
Smart Fortwo
Toyota Yaris
Q: Which five 2009-model cars get the worst overall MPG?
A: Ferrari California
Maybach 62 S Sedan
Mercedes- Benz
Hummer H3t Alpha
BMW M5 Sedan
Q: If your parent asked you for advice in picking out a new car, which car would you recommend? What criteria did you use? (you don't have to tell me what you think I want to hear)
A: I would tell them to get a Cadillac CTS because it looks nice. Also because it gets 20 MPG and thats better than other cars that only get about 10 MPG. So, I think the Cadillac CTS would be a good option, it can fit at least four people so thats good for me.

Earth Day-Kia
What are three things you learned?
Three things i learned is that fuel efficient cars save money, gas, and your time. I also learned that hybrid cars are sold at a very decent price and they also benefit the consumers.
What are two things you found interesting?
I found interesting that a hybrid car use less gas than the car I drive in and how much money i can save with it.
What is one question you still have?
I don't have any

A: Finding Twin Earth Is Harder Than Thought
Q: When was it published?
A: 1st- March 21, 2009, 2nd-April 10, 2009.
Q: What are 3 things you learned?
A: I learned that a new telescope will be out in 2013. Also that M-dwarf stars show no hydrogen cyanide. And I also learned that a element in DNA is adenine.
Q: What are 2 things you found interesting?
A: I found it interesting that they will be launching a new telescope. And that ultraviolet light might make a higher production in hydrogen cyanide.
Q: What is 1 question you still have?
A: Why do we need a twin planet?
Q: Which article did you read?
A: Scientists Pinpoint The 'Edge Of Space'.
Q: When was it published?
A: April 10, 2009
Q: What are 3 things you learned?
A: I learned that its hard to gether data in this area. Also that space is 118 km above Earth. And finally that the JOULE-ll rocket carried the instrument.
Q: What are 2 things you found interesting?
A: It's only the second time that date from this area was gathered. And that $422,000 was invested by the Canadian Space Agency.
Q: What is 1 question you still have?
A: Why was any of this information imortant?
