Earth Day-Kia

What are three things you learned?
Three things i learned is that fuel efficient cars save money, gas, and your time. I also learned that hybrid cars are sold at a very decent price and they also benefit the consumers.
What are two things you found interesting?
I found interesting that a hybrid car use less gas than the car I drive in and how much money i can save with it.
What is one question you still have?
I don't have any

Astronomy 2

Q: Which article did you read?
A: Finding Twin Earth Is Harder Than Thought
Q: When was it published?
A: 1st- March 21, 2009, 2nd-April 10, 2009.
Q: What are 3 things you learned?
A: I learned that a new telescope will be out in 2013. Also that M-dwarf stars show no hydrogen cyanide. And I also learned that a element in DNA is adenine.
Q: What are 2 things you found interesting?
A: I found it interesting that they will be launching a new telescope. And that ultraviolet light might make a higher production in hydrogen cyanide.
Q: What is 1 question you still have?
A: Why do we need a twin planet?

Q: Which article did you read?
A: Scientists Pinpoint The 'Edge Of Space'.
Q: When was it published?
A: April 10, 2009
Q: What are 3 things you learned?
A: I learned that its hard to gether data in this area. Also that space is 118 km above Earth. And finally that the JOULE-ll rocket carried the instrument.
Q: What are 2 things you found interesting?
A: It's only the second time that date from this area was gathered. And that $422,000 was invested by the Canadian Space Agency.
Q: What is 1 question you still have?
A: Why was any of this information imortant?

Earth Day!!

Q: What do the organizers of Earth Hour want everyone to do at 8:30 PM?
A: They want everyone to turn off all the lights for an hour.
Q: What is the point?

A: To take action in Global Warming.
Q: When was the first Earth Hour?

A: The first Earth Hour was in 2007.
Q: The website talks about the big upcomming election: Planet Earth vs. Global Warming. How would one vote for Planet Earth? How would one vote for Global Warming?
A: They ould vote for Earth by participating in Earth Hou. They would vote for Global Warming by not participating.
Q: What are five things that you could do during Earth Hour to celebrate the event?
A: Give positive talk about why it's important, go to sleep, turn on a flash light, play games with my niece, or go outside.

Earth day Project

Q: What, specifically about your topic, are you going to research?
A: I'm going to research about the disasters if not getting water and the different forms water comes in.
Q: What conclusions did you come to? What do you recommend average citizens do to make a difference? Be specific. This is the main part of your assignment.
A: I am trying to get everyone to see that water is important and that there is no need to waste it.
Q: What would happen if, worst-case scenario, nobody listened to your recommendations?
A: Maybe there would be drought in small towns. This is because if they get their water from a little body of water wasting it would dry it out.
Q: What would happen if, best-case scenario, everybody listened to your recommendations?
A: I think there would be lots of good clean water for everyone.

Astronomy Topics

Black Holes

I would like to do my assignment on black holes. I chose this topic because I would like to know why we don't really know anything about them. I always wondered what happen to things in the black hole. My main question is "If we don't know what happens when things enter the black hole, how do we know everything else? "

Mars

I chose Mars because it is so interesting to me. Whats most interesting is the color. I would like to know what is making Mars that color. Another thing is what is so dangerous to humans about Mars, so we can't go on it other than the atmosphere.

Moon

The moon is the most interesting to me. Since we do know about the moon it makes me feel like I know what I'm talking about. I'd also like to go to the mooon and know that it's ok and that I won't die if I have the right things.
Telescopes
Telescopes are an important thing to research. I say this because they inform us with alot of information about the universe. They show us lots of pictures of the universe and lead us to new conclusions. I also think telescopes are very high tech and I would like to know how they work. Telescopes are important to us all an it would be a very good thing to research.
Asteriod Belt
The asteriod belt is interesting to me. I would like to know what is making most asteriods stay in thi specific area. Also how big the asteriod belt is and what would happen if too many asteriods were in the asteriod belt. I would like to know what is qualified to be an asteriod and if anythig was ever mistaken as an asteriod. Another thing I would like to find out is if anything other than asteriods are in the asteriod belt.

Q: Which area of the country currently has the fastest wind speeds? (city, state) How fast is it?
A: Louisville, Kentucky about 20 mph
Q: Which area of the state currently has the fastest wind speeds? How fast is it?
A: Louisville, Kentucky 20 mph
Q: Which area of the country currently has the highest air pressure? (city, state) How high is it?
A: Seattle, Washington at 1017
Q: Which area of the state currently has the highest air pressure? How high is it?

A: Seattle, Washington at 1017
Q: Why does lower pressure usually bring bad weather?

A: Beacause they cause storms from the movement of the air.
